i grew up with the rotorphiles, gsx/t lovers, and anal probes v6s...they had very quick cars and were fun to drive but my 85 lude with much more miles would keep up and more importantly stay running...our big road trips they'd never take their cars for fear of the often breakdown
seems someone was always dropping a tranny, fixing an apex seal every 5000 miles, or replacing the engine b/c of a blown headgasket or thrown rod...mind you these were fairly new cars at the time with the probe being brand spanking new and already needing a new drivetrain in 10k miles and an engine at 20k...Ford/Mazda tough!...my little lude took 275k miles of my abuse...enought to last HS, through college to grad school
