The college campus paper I shoot for uses all MACs and it would be nice to have one of my own. Since I'm not an editor (well, yet) I don't have an assigned desk or MAC for myself. The paper also get a little discount on MAC stuff...

I basically would want it for photo editing, writing papers and interweb.

I would still have my PC here @ home to basically store all my photos and do a majority of my editing and writing here, but it would be nice to have my own in the office to edit on the spot, or work on a story at school.

SO my question is... would I notice a big difference in my PC @ home to a MAC lap top, or should I just look at PC lap top. Brad built my PC strickly for editing photos and it's damn fast.

I wouldn't have to have formatted memory cards for my MAC or PC would I? What about files such as on word? Do they transfer easly? Is there anything I couldn't transfer? How does interweb work? etc etc.
