i personally still like the b-series better for these applications, though i am a fan of the h-series i'd rather push the f-series for the lack of FRM sleeves if he wanted to go with a larger block but stick with a 90's honda design.

DOHC f-series can be had with a FWD layout-- they would be about the same work as an H and as said before they lack those pesky FRM sleeves.
