i wouldn't expect either of them to last too long under race conditions without major rebuilds to the blocks or transmissions.
something like an STi on the otherhand has been proven to pull 400+ whp reliably without any problems.
even a b-series trasmission can take alot, there are many people running turbo b's into the 300's without major concern
