it was a metaphor for valuing who you sleep with. you wouldnt want the mother of your child to be some irresponsible brainless bimbo that you just "accidentally" busted a nut in.
we've all had pregnancy scares, but when you get to that level in a relationship and that part of your life where you can say "oh well if she's pregnant, then I know she's ready and I'm ready, and we can handle it together", theres something special about it.
