My cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives all eventually learn within a 6 month period...
To me it's more ignorant on their part to expect me to know their native langauge in my country :dunno:

i saw a biker with a jacket that said "Learn english or go home" I just thought it was a very ignorant statement. Everyones learning curve is far different.
