u would be suprized, i know alot of drivers with 820 ci mountain motors, that have 5.5" cranks and spin to about 8500rpm no prob, have u ever heard of ihra prostock, thats the class really huge motors alot of turqe all motor engines, they dont have much piston travel due to the really large deck, which they have almost 10" rods, for a better rod ratio, alot of ppl talk about the b16 ratio, it dont matter u have to sride for the every last bit, it not baout workin with stock set, u sometimes wanna go far beyond that point to do somehting different, but it aint in possible, but i know what u mean, if i was usin a stock block oh yeah, the motor would'nt be worth shit, but thats when money starts to kill u
