have you felt your head light wires. if they feel extremely hopt after a couple of minutes of your lights on then there is your problem. with after market bulbs you should change out your wiring harness. you could get this at any tuner shop of maybe even at checkers or something. best bet for your money is ebay. the aftermarket wiring harness are bigger and better insulated to match a higher kelvin bulb ( 3500k and up). also after market bulbs put out the illusion of hid with the colored tint, so really the color is masking the real shine. at first it may seem brighter because of the blue tint.
