Like he said, a rebuild is dependant upon who does it.
A replacement may be the same crap shoot. These transmissions were not built well and most will fail early. Replacing it just gives you a new transmission with the same inherent problems, that is, Honda has not gone back and fixed these issues. When you replace it, you are getting the same original design. I would try to find a reputable rebuild place - it may be the least expensive option.
