Alpha male works the same in humans as it does it pack animals. If I young male lion mates with all the mature female lions in the pack, he is considered the Alpha and is respected by the other males. If a senior male lion mates with younger female lions than he is shunned by the pack and by the other males.

Why do you think no one made a huge stink about it when that female teacher had a kid with that 6th grade student. People were calling him the man. The female got some bad press but whatever, it blew over and now they are trying to patch it up. If it was a male teacher and a female student he'd probably never be allowed out of prison or see his kid. (Not that it was right in the first place or anything)
