It looks like the transmission on my 98 V6 coupe is going out at about 120k miles. It has a really hard time shifting out of first gear and doesn't do well at all when it gets hot. I'll have to get it replaced/rebuilt. Here's my question- if I get the work done, how much longer will it run? I've been reading really bad reviews of the transmissions of this car online. After I get it fixed, will it go for another 100k miles or should I think about selling it?
