if its a big enoughf space
Im not sure, because I know the area between the subs is important to. I know for a damn fact the ported side isnt 1.75 cubic feet thoe! So if te mid section were the speakers faces are makes up for the rest it will be buitifull!
i cant tell you off hand the space requirements for a JL sub in a bandpass but i will say that of the Band pass boxes i have made with JL subs they dont work too good. the reason is because they have too small of a voice coil. i have easily burnt up JL subs running less than 1/2 their rated power.
this is the reason my subs have 3" diameter voice coils and will handel 1000 watts . i had to make them extra beefy to handel the BP box.
and for what it is worth anything you put in a premade bandpass box is going to sound like total crap. in order to even hope to have anything that resembles good sound quality the sub and box have to be specifically designed for each other. but when you match them up in this way. the results are unlike anything you have ever heard.
for WIW the box you asked about i can guarentee you sounds like crap. i know this because the ports are not even close to being tuned right. i have been doing this long enough to know just by looking at them ther diameter and length is not even close to tuned right. also it seems they use the exact same ports in all their boxes which would lead me to belive the same holds true for all their boxes. including the ported ones.
it really sucks because a ciustomer will put a good sub in there and after they hear it they will likely belive the subs are crap because they sound horrible when in fact they might actually be a good sub in a bad box.
