old jags are pieces of junk. the benz would be good, but if you have to fix anytthing dont expecty it to be cheap. go with the diesel if you can and convert it to a grease car. you can usually pic of the grease for free from local resteraunts who have to pay to get rid of it.

benz pretty much make only auto's. very few models come with standard on benz's. but their auto tranny's are rock solid and sealed for life.
