But I agree with Dan. Do those maintenance items first. And yes, you should let the catalytic converter warm up. Did you know that while the catalytic converter is cold, it does absolutely nothing with your exhaust? The catalysts in the converter need some heat to work properly (hence why it's placed closer to the header). It's not placed super close because too much heat will damage it as well.
