well think of it this way - it's like being able to tune low-end and top-end seperately, because you have more airflow available at the top with vtec. it just seems like that would be more important when you're boosting. you have the small cam lobes for low-end smoothness and fuel-economy, and the big-ass vtec cam lobes for that top-end rush.
and for the record, i know very little about boost. Das Schmoo is the one you want to talk to. he's been running a boosted GSR for quite a while.
