Well, auto or manual? An auto is more of a pain in the ass.

As for easiest, there is really only one way to do it. For a first timer, buy a repair manual and devote at least two days of down-time. If you have all the tools needed and some mechanical intuition, it's not too hard.

Tip: when separating the lower control arm balljoint, hit the side of the LCA with a hammer (at the end where the stud passes through.) It will pop the balljoint stud out without having to hammer directly on the stud and you don't have to buy a puller tool and will not mechanically damage the car.
