read the chilton manual on your car trust me it will say "once you have started up the engine your SRS light should stay on an extra 5 seconds after the car has started up and then turn off" If it didnt light up you would have a problem if you got hit, and if it stayed on you wouldnt necessarily have a problem because it could be a few different things like airbag connector's unhooked or something could be missing like the airbag, but just reset your ecu in this situation unless you have taken out the airbag for other reasons like me. than you have to un-hook the sending wire from the sensor to the ecu or it wil stay on. but your fine man welcome to a luder's life
