Default A/C 97 Accord - Air Conditioning!

So my 1997 Accord EX 2.2L has R134a. It has been blowing out warm air for the last year or so.

I finally bought one of those refill kits with the gauges built on them. It shows 50-60psi, which is full (actually over full). SO I don't think my AC system has a leak.

I have heard people say that there is a cable that connects the Cold-Warm selection knob to a sweeper door at the heater / AC box. They said that if that cable gets loose, when you select Cold on the selection knob, the sweeper door doesn't close all the way, and it still lets hot air in.

This pretty much describes my situation.

Does anyone know where this "sweeper door" is? How can I access it?

Any other ideas why my AC is warm and not cold? Does R134a need to be evacuated, then recharged?

Thank you for any input!
