No, it will use first and second. The trans will not shift over second.

Just explain in more detail for the thread starter:
Automatics have a flexplate bolted to the engine, which bolts to a torque converter on the trans side.
Manual cars have a flywheel bolted to the engine, with a pressure plate bolted to it. The clutch is stuck between and splined to the transaxle's input shaft.

An automatic has no clutch (in Honda vehicles.) Slipping is caused by internal transaxle issues.
