ls/vtec build questions
ok so ive been reading alot, and i am looking to build an ls/vtec daily driver. I want to be able to rev to 8-9k safely, and have become a little confused on rod/crank/piston choice. This is an economy build, so if i need to pull the rev limit down thats fine...
basically...what honda oem parts can handle what im looking for? id like to keep stock displacement for now. So i was thinking ls block (i can get one for 50 bucks) stick with ls crank, and either ls pistons or type r pistons...but what about rods? any stock rods can handle that high revving? since i dont think type r rods fit the stock ls crank....shotpeening do any good on the ls rods?
