Iran could jump in and it would be justified. Israel is going to war with the Gaza strip the only thing is there arent yet calling it a "war". Iran could easily jump in. That would force the US to go, but not the rest of the internationnal comunity. The rest of world is already pissed at the US they are also pissed with Israel. They MIGHT just not go in at the begining. And i dont think the US have the resources to go in alone, might be very hurtfull to go to another right now.
Also keep in mind that having the nuclear weapon doesnt mean that they MUST use it, its just a threat. Like the US and israel, they dont need to use it, but we all know it's there.

I doubt that even if Iran had a bomb they would use it. besides all the immediate ramifications of using the bomb (ie killing thousand and pissing off the world) they would have to deal with the US and our few allies. if they did i would suspect that alot more countries would join us, such as japan, germany, and france (maybe damn lazy people). it seems more feasable that they would just sell it to another country for a huge price and continue to make more bombs as an export. they really dont want to blow up isreal with a nuke because that would be the end of there country.
before they would sell them they will keep some for the country. as i said above, having a N bomb doesnt mean using it.
THe bottom line is we arent sure what is going to happen, we are pretty close to a world war and we dont realise it, no one wants one even Egypt is telling Israel that they will get what they want. but if a war doesnt start Israel will again get what they want by violating internationnal laws. they again prove to be above the law and sooner or later that will come and bite the international comunity. we can't let a country act like that... the UN must stop it, and the US should not stand int here way. it is a fact that Israel is just going to far on this they have to be very carefull, and if the rest of the world dont stop them they should at least codenm them...
