I do consider the leaking of ongoing intelligence gathering methods and the printing of them in the press a legitimate problem. And as much as I hate the Times I cannot fault them completely (and they were not the only ones to print this and others) for doing their job against better judgement. What concerns me, and is borderline treason, is the intelligence analysts, etc. that are leaking classified information in the first place. The leaking of this information may actually be hindering our pursuit of Bin Laden.
You are correct that the politically devisive atmosphere in Washington is prohibitive to getting anything done.
