i dont think its your t-stat! if your fan is not coming on when the engine is over heating that is probably your problem. the fan MUST come on when the engine reaches certain temp. t-stat does not affect fan operation unless, it is stuck open and the engine doesnt reach normal op temp or hotter so fan doesnt come on
