The fan itself doesn't provide that much cooling. I had a fan NEVER coming on and all it affected was the A/C. The thermostat is most likely your problem.
I bought mine from advanced for like $12.55 or some crap and works just like any other thermostat. Hmm maybe I got lucky who knows haha
