What's different, std's have been around for as long as man has been around it's nothing new. I'm sure you've read about people going crazy because of syphilus. The only new thing is HIV/AIDS, and condoms protect you from that as well.
and the number of infected is at an all time high, don't forget about that. herpes and genital warts is rampant. it won't kill you, but it sure isn't the most comfortable thing to have, in more ways than one.
