If you're going to start calculating that, you're gonna have to throw in the gear ratio factor in order to get an accurate comparison.

If you go by power/weight ratios:

SRT8 = 9.882 lb/hp

To have a 2800lb civic match that power to weight ratio, it would have to make 283 hp. If his civic weighs say, 2200 lbs, he only has to make 222 hp. I'll just say he's making quite a bit more than that, and probably has shorter gearing.
