A week later, the ball joint on the driver side of the car went out. Fortunately, I was riding down a neighborhood road. I had to spend about $1,200 to get everything fixed. Hahahaha...funnier you should say that because my mechanic replaced my wheel bearings last winter and apparently forgot to put the cotter pin back into the driver's side knuckle/LCA ball joint. It gave out when I was in a parking lot doing 2MPH (after I had put on 2000 highway miles with it!) and caused me about $700 in damage.
Your mechanic probably did the same thing. You should have taken some sort of action...my mechanic is currently my indentured car servant and has promised me that anything I ever need for that car is done for free.
