I hear what you're saying, for the longest time I was dead set on getting a full coilover system because I wanted a clean sytem all from one manufacturer that would be reliable. but the more research I did the more i found that the koni GC system is really the way to go in terms of performance for the money. Yeah some of the really high-end coilover sytems are the best, but you have to pay at least double to get anything better than the koni/GC setup. I got mine with custom rates for under $800 shipped.
While color scheme of the whole thing once its assembled is a little :eh: It is pretty simple and very sturdy, there is absolutely no creaks, rattles or anything. You may not be aware of this, but GC only makes the sleeve, all of their springs are Eibach race springs which you can custom order in increments of 20lbs/in(?) and any length. That was really what did it for me because with that you know you are getting a good quality spring and for 55$ a set (i think) you can order different strength springs for the front or back to suit your taste/needs.
