Hmmm good to know about the tire pressure, I know I was definitely stressing the sidewalls on my tires, but I didn't know off hand how much to raise the pressure so I kept it conservative.

You should try chalking or shoe polish on the sidewalls of your tire. Right where the tread meets the sidewall. You want the chalk or shoe polish to wear off right at the edge of the tire tread. No more. If you go past that you could pull the bead of the tire right off the wheel - which is bad.
