Could it be that throttle is not adjusted correctly? or a bad intake manifold?
seems like your car should be louder but i agree with hondaboy his car might have a leak causing it to be louder. also his car might be a bit faster at earlier speeds cause it's a 2dr which are like 100lbs lighter or something i think
