Sounds like a pretty good deal, but you should try to get the price down some. I think it's a little high, regardless of condition. I'd start offering at most $4k and compromise some. Post pictures if you can.

I've never had any major problems with my del Sol. I have a B18C1 engine in mine so I can't comment on the stock S model, but I know it's a real gas saver.

Even though it's far from a sports car, I still consider it a "sporty" car and being able to take the top off on a nice day is awesome. I can't imagine myself not buying another hard top some day in the future. It only takes a couple seconds to remove the top and store it without much effort.

I used to drive a Buick Skylark granny car and my insurance only went up a few dollars switching to the del Sol. Rates for me are not high at all (relatively).
