Um yeah...at BorgWarner I've seen engines commonly last 600+ hours at redline. The only engine I've ever seen have valve float is the Ford Duratec with cast iron valves that absorb heat like a bitch and just drop out.
So that excuse doesn't work
I still want to know how high this engine revved and what the cause of the damage was. Something doesn't sound right.
