Default Del Sol Weee!

Hi all,

A great deal on a 97 Del Sol S popped up, and figured it would be great
to buy considering my current Volvo is on it's deathbed. Aside from
the common roof leaks/squeaks, and some leaking, can anybody comment
(preferrably from experience) about other issues they've had with their
Del Sols?

With my sports car days over, I'm mainly looking to get this for
commuting purposes, and wouldn't personally define it as a 'sports'
car. It's more a civic with the roof cut off.

Some have commented on the suspension variances of the S and Si (sway
bars only, spring ratings?). Can anyone comment on the differences
between these two submodels? I'm not looking to get the 160 hp model (though it would be more fun).

Are there problems or things I should look out for?

It's a '97 S w/114k miles. 5sp. Serviced through Honda it's entire life. Tbelt, water pump replaced w/ major service at 94k miles. New Brakes, tires, wheels, fluids. Comes w/ larger 15" (rather than 13"). Condition appears to be really good. No leaks of any kind (engine, roof, or trunk). Seller is looking for around $5k. He said he added some extra sealant R134 a few months ago, so perhaps the system is startking to leak. KBB lists it at 4460 for Excellent. But i'm seeing these go for over KBB.

So i'm not really sure what to offer the dude.

Anyway, any other differences aside from the engine?

Thanks so much!
