Secondly about the install: do you think a 17yr old and his dad could install these babies during some quality father-son bonding time (of course, the father will provide most of the technical know-how)?
There are two versions of Ground Control: limited edition (designed to work with most aftermarket shocks) and koni-yellow edition (designed to work with koni yellow shocks). You can get custom rates to go with the koni yellows, but anything above 400 lbs (I believe?) and you're going to have to get the yellows revalved, which can be done for extra cost as well. Basically you have full customizability in terms of spring rates and shocks; it's a proven and relatively affordable system that is widely used by the SCCA/NASA crowd. Of course if you don't want to go through the mumbo jumbo of having adjustability a good spring/shock combo will work well and be MUCH cheaper.
