I think all Alpine Type Rs are dual voice coils. If they are 4 OHM and wired in parallel, then parallel again to the mono amp, then its probably at a 1 OHM load. It is more than likely if this is the case that the amp cant handle such a low impedance.

It can be confirmed if Raun posts the model numbers and the exact way they are wired :hs:
