So does everyone else, thats my point. Its like the media wants to make things stagnant instead of wanting to move towards futurisitic idealogical thoughts. Why must they insist on reporting of things so negative and from a past that everyone wants to move from?

I know. It's like always being labeled as. In Sociology, there's a theory called the Labeling Theory. If someone constantly labels you as BAD, then you will take on that secondary characteristic, and give them MORE of that, even if it's not in to BE bad. Constantly drilling the bad statistics is a form of institutionalized labeling.
