I am also in need of a/s tires. Best bang for your buck would be the falken ziex 512. Heard very good reviews on it and its priced well.

I stopped by sears and they had sumitomo htr h4 and bf goodrich traction t/a on sale for cheaper than the 512's. Both had good reviews too. Check your local sears, they might have a tire sale.

I'm leaning towards the traction t/a's since they are the best out of the 3. All 3 tires a performance tires so they grip decent on the road. But they might not be as good as the tires you have on now.
