ok heres the deal. got the car driving today and i have noticed that it turns like it should until it hits a certain point then it feels like somethings binding up and becomes incredibly hard to turn at all. it seems to be in a certain spot that i usually get to when turning hard right, or coming back left across that spot, which makes me think the steering rack itself may be bent or tweaked in some way. the car was hit directly on the drivers side front wheel which bent the lower control arm and pulled apart the axle at the inner cv joint, so i wouldnt put it past enough force to bend something in the steering. also when the wheel is straight in the car the driverside front wheel is toed out a little bit, maybe 5 degrees off of being lined up how it should be. im just wondering if you guys can see anything from the pictures that i cant, or maybe tell me exactly whats goin on, and what it may take to fix it.
here's some pics. i'm assuming this gap has something to do with the problem because it doesn't seem like it should be there.

here's another

i hope the pics help, i have more that i took of where the steering rack connects with the subframe on that side, nothing looks bent to me, but maybe you guys would be able to tell better than me, i'll post them up if you want. sorry for posting this much crap up all at once, but im tryin to get this thing together for the summer.
thanks again guys,
wes
