I'm assuming the Fit doesnt rev anywhere close to S2000.
I didnt hit VTEC when I test drove cuz I knew I wasnt gonna buy it
the S2000 has dohc (intake and exhaust cams) vtec (3 stage system) made specifically for performance with a 8000 rpm redline (slightly higher for earlier versions)
the L15a in the Fit is made for lower end torque and fuel mileage with some spirited performance...it's change over is much less noted and no where near as significant...it's redline is 6500 rpm...it only has a sohc vtec w/ 16v where the intake side is adjusted for more power but the exhaust size is not...it also has a much slimmer design than the d series engine it replaced
