The initial removal of the transmission shouldn't be too hard, but i wouldn't recomend replacing synchronisers without experience.

If it were me, i would remove the tranny and take it to a shop and have it rebuilt. Or you could look for a good used tranny, and sell your old one. Compare the two and find out which would be your cheaper option.
