The Fit doesn't have a traditional V-TEC. the traditional V-TEC switches between seperate cam lobes. The new V-TEC for the fit it's timing switch is done with a hydrauliclly acutated valve that engages a second rocker arm allowing the secondary valve to stay open longer, which increase the combustion chamber's air fuel ratio.
