Actually, since I did install the
MP3Pro plug-in for Nero Burning ROM 6.3.125, I had a chance to "rip" an audio CD with Windows Media Player 10 at 128 kbps bit rate and MP3 format at 128 kbps bit rate. The .WMA file sounded vastly clearer than the MP3 file, and fortunately just about every non-Apple iPod portable music player supports the .WMA format.
