man, it really depends on what i have lying around. i've used 225/45/15 hoosier a3s03's, kumho 205 and 225/50/15's, 225/45/15 and 205/50/15 street TD's. i will be using 225/50/15 comp t/a's (old, old road race compound) for an autocross this weekend.

i have civic pro-kit springs in the front. when i put my new engine in, they compressed an additional half inch, so, things rub up front. however, with the right springs, im convinced rubbing will not be an issue.

as far as contact patch goes, the hoosier a3so3's were HUGE. the 225 street td's were more comparable to the 205 kumhos. i've never felt my car pull so many g's as it did with the 225 street td's. that was when i tore my subframe a new one, so to speak. i think that new, heat cycled a3s03's would rock on a road course. the ones i ran on were pretty crunchy. for autocross, if money were not an issue, i'd stick with street td's. my next set of tires will be kumhos, because i can't afford hoosiers.

the reason i use so many different tires is because we have all sorts of used R compound tires lying around our shop. they have enough tread for a few events, and they would otherwise just be sitting there if i didnt use them.

hth!
