it's not the jdm tranny, it's the h23 tranny. the f22 tranny has really long gearing, which just makes the car a lot slower. 92-95 everything is identical, so 95 car with a 93 engine is just perfect. a 96 car with a 95 engine is a little trickier tho.
Yeah I was reading somewhere that the 96 has the obdII and is harder to work on??? Hey I sold my VW so I'm in the market for that replacement Lude now. There is a pretty nice white one on eBay up in MO. it has the vtec swap, and really clean, but so far away. The guy said he was wanting 5100 for it, which is not a bad price.
