Can't you just get it chipped? Full-blown engine management is nice, but there are cheaper alternatives that can get you by with power gains for now, aren't there? You might not be able to milk every drop out of it and push your timing advance to the limit, but you should be able to get it in a good ballpark with just a chip. ...?

What else have you done to the ol' shitbox, I can't remember? What do you need to change now? VTEC engagement point? Higher red line?
