Sorry Phateless, I had a momentary loss of reasoning, to answer your question, no i just bought a JDM engine, and used the five speed already in the car, why is the JDM version better? Geared different? Also on your question to hotlude, my car was a 1995, and the engine that they sent was a 1993, everything from the 95 bolted right onto it, I changed it out because, there were differences, plus I wanted to repaint all of the brackets while it was apart. I really wish that I still had the car, or at least would have taken some pictures of what I did, I think you would have been impressed. Still looking for that replacement, I have my v-dub back on eBay.
