there is no 'family friendly way' to get rid of a mooch. mooches come from all backgrounds. u will have to develop a backbone and get him out. give him a one month deadline to find a place to live. when that day comes if he hasnt moved then get a truck and do it yourself. any family member that judges u can have him. wont be any takers.. just accept the fact that they will say unkind things to u. your self esteem and self worth isnt dependent upon their approval.

a mooch loves to create such conflict. keeps them comfortable. being nice to him feeds this behavior. as long as there is blame and finger pointing he isnt going anywhere. he is ignoring what his behavior is doing to u and your family. a mooch goes beyond family obligation. u r not obligated to have him stay with u with no rules.

its disrespectful of your uncle to treat u like this. u have a predictor now of his behavior. he has repeated it for 5 months. unless u plan on having him till he is in the grave, shake things up and get him out of his comfort zone. he will go kicking and screaming and u both will be just fine. his life, he is responsible for it.
