First, the spark plugs, if purchased for any honda with the b16 motor from the factory (99-00 SI, Del Sol Vtec), should already come gapped...
If you need to gap them I think it's like .048-.054 or something...
Check your wires too...
Yes the spark plugs should be torqued with a torque wrench, however if you know what you are doing then tightening them to "mechanic's tight" will work... If you are not familiar with working on your own car, then for sure use a torque wrench... Yo DO NOT want to strip out the threads on an Aluminum head!
Do you have a haynes/Chilton??
