It really depends upon what car you want to drop it into...
If it's a civic, then I would choose the ITR motor, that is if you still want to handle well. The H22 is heavier, and will throw the balance of the car off... Have you ever drove/rode in a h22 civic, it is really only good for a straight line... Also, without a LSD, an h22, with all of the extra torque, would simply melt the tires off the rims...

So unless you got a Lude or an Accord, I would have to say the ITR...
However, these are both rare and expensive, so choose wisely...

And despite what these guys say, the ITR motor is overhyped for a reason... It will run at 8000+ rpms all day long because it was designed for this operation - With low-friction coated pistons, and dual valve springs on the exhaust valves...
35~ pounds is heavy? I suppose...
We autocrossed/roadcoursed our project civic in highschool with an h22 and we did fine :dunno: Tein Full Coilovers with EDFC.... 8K-9K rpm is nice...but 1.8v2.2 with about the same HP in the same car? just my opinion but I'll take the H22...
