Now I've got the supermarkets that cashed the bad checks calling my mom's house (the number listed on the checks) telling me to send them copies of the police report and to have a statement notarized saying that I didn't cash those checks. If I don't, they claim they will hold me liable for payment.

Fuck them. It's not my fault that their cashiers were incompetent and couldn't properly check for ID on a check written for $100-150. I'm gonna go to my bank tomorrow to have them handle it. I've already had to cancel my checking account, change all of my billing addresses, set up fraud alerts with credit agencies, re set up everything I had set up... Major fucking pain.
